       I can tell I'm a shameless idealist, because whenever some wicked policy is about to be enacted, I always imagine it will be thwarted and never come to fruition. ...Even now, I'm AMAZED that in the year 2023, the policy of book-banning was enacted, without so much as a whimper of protest. Banning books, banning objective history,  banning abortion, dress-codes for women ....Where does it end, America? How much will you endure?

       @Tilopa I used to be shocked at how mankind is so horrible to each other, the capacity for I'll will is limitless.These days I am amazed when I see some compassion from people or just doing what is right if it doesn't affect their wallet.You ask when will it end I'm afraid that will be when we go extinct unfortunately.

       @EWM I tend to agree. Everything seems so broken, it'd take a miracle to make it whole again. Obviously it doesn't do any good to wallow in misery, but more and more, due to reflecting on the state of things, and circumstances... is being anything other than miserable even an option at this point?
