Same lmao, I've avoided the entire genre because of that. It's addictive, and looking back on some of the highlights is nice and all. Had fun, met some randoms that I've kept to this day, but that was a huge time/money sink. And some fuckers sat there and specifically made it that way. ~"How can we slow the game down to a crawl and still keep these fuckers coming back and paying us?"There are some exceptions at least, PoE still seems ethical (I stopped paying attention though so that may have changed since) if you want a genuine successor to diablo 2 etc. I supported that one for quite a while because of their pro player business model.

Yeah, I hear you. I replayed Diablo 2 with some mods to speed it up, better drop rates and a chest that lets you swap items between characters mostly, that was pretty fun. I'm not touching D3, too bright for me even if it wasn't an always online even for singleplayer and all the other BS. Not even going to touch the remake of D2 probably lolLmao, yep. So I can completely understand From shafting Tenchu. However I actually loved Sekiro’s combat so much. The simple act of making your Defense double as offense along with the high speed combat made me cum buckets.

maybe i will give it some more time - see if i can get a feel for itvery much wanted to love that game out of the box - some of the weapon types and magic systems in the ds series have genuinely good feel and are interesting, so i had high hopes but it ended up feeling derivative to me

So my advice at least, is to not play it like a souls game. I made that mistake when I played sekiro and I wound up not enjoying it. Second play through with the new mindset and it was unbelievable how much fun it was.But if you don’t like it thsts all good too! To each their own!
