@calculsoberic The astonishing thing is that most authors seem to know this, but do not want to burden their readers with this knowledge. We have often received the answer to comments: It is too complicated to mention the #Fediverse and would overwhelm the readers, so they prefer to write only about Mastodon. 😒 @mk.absturztau.be

@caos oh ok, I can *understand* why they would do that, but it's annoying that they do. I have seen some articles sum it up like "mastodon is part of the wider fediverse..." and give a brief explanation of it
