@leo I used to have one but stopped using it very quickly: the 'straw' got too hot - though more expensive ones may not have that problem. It's a long time since I drank it but I remember that I really liked the gaucho mate.

@leo One of my best memories of Argentina was seeing a policeman on point duty at a city intersection sucking at a Maté pot. He had a belt holster with two vacuum flasks in, presumably to top-up. The pot, and the holster, matched his uniform and boots.l, as though standard issue.I brought a pot home, but its not my thing.

@evoterra Nice! There's a certain elegance to sipping at your silver straw throughout the day. I noticed I was doing that with coffee during shows, and how much nicer to have a gourd and Yerba Mate.
