@stux one main [7,8] and several smaller ones [ ~4-5] followed...OFC Turkey is basically the literal crashing area beween Eurasian and Arabic plates and that leads to pretty interesting stuff I was able to see in person before Erdogan wen't full-speed facist...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamukkale

@stux yeah. I have not felt this earthquake but had a similarly strong earthquake around here a few years ago, with some buildings got destroyed... some of my friends lost their homes. Was a very terrible experience.I have a few acquaintances whom I spoke to from the area, luckily they are fine. Many people weren't that lucky, however.

@stux yes it's pretty bad. Around noon, another big earthquake happened. I'm far away from that area but press says there are many places that search&rescue teams couldn't reach out. I heard one airport is damaged, roads damaged, infrastructure damaged..Also almost all of Turkey is prone to big earthquakes like this due to the fault lines running over the country: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Anatolian_Fault#/media/File%3AAnatolian_Plate.png
