Maintaining a safe space takes work, it also requires multiple perspectives. Greater representation is essential. We need more people of color! We need more neurodiverse folks!Additional moderators increase the likelihood that you have someone you feel comfortable with discussing sensitive issues. Greater moderation provides a better experience when making an appeal or reporting issues with other Thicc.Horse staff.

Review reported content.Review and unpublish harmful trending content.Resolve interpersonal issues between community members.Proactively remove bad actors and illegal content from the federated timeline (when able).Moderators may eventually be given a greater level of rights and responsibilities based on their strengths, personal interests and level of trust within the community.

There is no binding contract.Every moderator selected will be given time to adjust, ask questions, and “Grow into the role".Moderators can choose to leave at any time for any reason.Moderators may lose their position if:They create more problems than they resolve. They abuse moderation tools. They do any egregious action that causes the admin team, or the local community to lose trust in their ability to moderate effectively.
