       @mrpieceofwork The idea that Stalin or Mao created anything definable as socialism is incredible to me. Stalin himself openly repudiated the idea of "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs".

       @mrpieceofwork The difference between Hitler and Stalin is the difference between demons who hate all the good of human life, and alien lizard-people whose values and motivations have nothing in common with humans. To the poor Czechs, with their pavilion at the 1939 World's Fair, between the two hulking pavilions of the Third Reich and the USSR, there was no sensible difference.
