I was told that I was never good enough to be in any club in high school. In fact, I was told that I didn't fit the program when I was told I could go to vo-tech while in high school. It took me going to vo-tech as an adult to be in any club at all. With that being said I was in skills USA in vo-tech and again in college but was told since I was a non-paying member that it does not count for anything.
