Reading about firefighters smashing an autonomous vehicle to get it to stay out of their hose lays.Y’all, firefighters are peak incident responders, they will do the necessary to put the fire out. If the necessary happens to be a car that is paperwork and a problem for the bosses after the fire is out.We should hire more firefighters into Infosec.

@BabblingGeek It's like when people get all mad because firefighters smashed the windows of a car to put the firehose through the car, instead of around. There's a reason it's illegal to park in front of a hydrant. It's literally standard protocol to go through illegally parked cars, because it actually makes a massive difference to flow rate (the thing that puts out the fire before it spreads) to go around instead of through.

@OpenComputeDesign a fire engine can also push just about any regular vehicle out of the way if they need to, but then they have to do a damage inspection on the engine too.
