This 'I don't like Xi Jinping' has costs me a job oppertunity once :flan_laugh: I almost went working for a webshop that sells figurines made in China and seriously.. they talked about it like it was the best country ever and it was our fault it was so bad :amaze: Glad I didn't got picked for that lol! Was a bit overqualified anyway but still.. They surely didn't like it my social platform was banned in their heaven country

@stux Some years ago my employer had accommodated a few trainees from China, graduated engineers, in a rented apartment for two months. After end of training, the landlord didn't want to reimburse the security deposit because he first had to thoroughly renovate whole apartment. The security deposit still wasn't sufficient.

@stux I understand and respect people who feel patriotic but equating one person or a set of anti democratic ideals to patriotism is misguided. Also, I would not put any hope on "Mainland people discontent", the last time that happened the ones in power didn't have any problem mowing down hundred of thousand unarmed people with military weapons.
