Is there a way to keep downloading on max speed while playing a game?I mean the games played are downloaded already and need just a min internet con right? 🤔

Another thing I couldn't really find info on..Since the Seagate Storage Expansion Cards for Xbox costs more than gold I was wondering if a external SSD via USB would do? My bet is no ofc since well, it's Microsoft who build the thing

@stux Depends on the game: if it runs locally on your computer, then likely will work fine with a slow connection. But if it's a pure cloud game it will eat up most of your downlink.

@stux only for storage or backwards compatible games. Series X/S need the internal drive or the expansion cards to run.

@stux External SSDs can store and play Xbox 360 and Xbox One games! But for anything “Optimized for Series X|S” you can only use it as storage. To play the game it would need to be copied to the internal storage or the Seagate thing. So you can use it as a giant holding bay for games, and then only copy the games you’re currently playing onto the internal?

@Kendoyle Got it! and the expansion card is 'seen' as a internal drive? So all games can be installed and played from there?

@MikeBSchreiber Ah i just learned that indeed! Hmm..So the Seagate card is considered 'internal' storage and also optimized games can be installed there?

@stux yep! It’s roughly the same I/O speed as the internal drive.

@stux yup. It counts as an extra drive that you can install to and play the more modern/updated games from.

@stux QoS would be from my understanding the best way to do it.

@stux Many PC download services though have options to limit the speed while in a game. So you could set it to 100Mbps and still have 15Mbps free for game data. QoS though prioritizes traffic based on it's type/source/destination I believe.

@stux depends on the game and how much of it actually runs on the server
