       York County South Carolina Sheriff's office tells residents not to shoot at Chinese balloon flying at over 60,000 feet, informing them that "your rifle rounds WILL NOT reach it." Expecting another release soon warning residents not to try reach the moon from their stepladders.

       @lauren Does anyone else remember a few years ago there was a hurricaine approaching the south Atlantic coast, and a bunch of people in went to the beach and were shooting their guns at the hurricaine?  Yep, because bullets would stop an atmospheric weather system.  More ridiculous than TV preacher praying it away.

       @lauren Do not discount the possibility of some cracker in far rural York County being in possession of...something...that can indeed reach a target at 60,000 feet.  This is the sheriff telling Clyde, in code, not to even think about trying it.
