@bortzmeyer DNS is an ask/answer protocol. HTTP is essentially a get/put protocol. we've abused HTTP is so many ways to do things no one should have done. in the same way, you can bend and twist DNS to do all sorts of things you shouldn't ever do (or even want to do...). :)
