@jamescridland James,you should have defended @adam and podcasting 2.0:— the podcast index is censorship free not right wing per se— extending RSS is the only way to achieve progress and new features in podcasting 2.0 are awesome and available in many apps , including cloud chapters, live tag and transcripts Also: you could have challenged @leo about: why no chapters in TWiT LLC - neither old one nor new one (cloud chapters of podcasting 2.0) ? Why no transcripts ?

The point of any interview is to hear what the *person* thinks. Sam was right not to dive into an argument: and it’s important to understand his view.

@csb If you're seriously using ChatGPT as some form of proof, then you're wasting my time there! That way madness lies.Those that have been de-platformed would appear to be mostly on the far right, so there is some substance to Leo's accusation there, I'm afraid. But we know this - it's why the whole "free speech" marketing of the index has been, rightly, toned down since launch. We can learn from this, rather than criticise the messenger.

@jamescridland @csb @adamThe reason most of the people who got de-platformed were "conservatives" isn't because they deserved it, but it was because they people in power *doing* the censoring were all far left leaning.Looking back, everyone now knows the vast majority of the stuff the left tried to censor by labeling as disinformation ended up being true too. Remember when Dave Rubin was cancelled merely for suggesting (about 3 months before his prediction came true) that the Gov't would start issuing vax mandates? That was absolutely insane. The liberals are just flat out insane and it's as simple as that, and they're the liars, as a general rule.

@csb @jamescridland tangent: a better way to describe enjoying conspiracy theories is from the context of them being geopolitical fan fiction to make sense of an insane world of the information age.people can go full koolaide on anything, from conspiracy theories to jesus to heckin loving science. to understand what the core of each is without the koolaide and being able to enjoy them is a mark of the well read.

However, we can all name 100 examples where merely having normal conservative (or even centrist) viewpoints can get someone cancelled, so let's quit pretending that's not the case.
