Good overview about #nostr protocol. It shows also the problem that you need to trust a nostr client first, e.g. iris.to to create your private and public key. Now: Usual Android users simply first download Iris App as they want to try out a new social network.Iris creates and(!) stores the private key. https://thebitcoinmanual.com/articles/nostr-client/1 /

There is the possibility to create the private and public key for #nostr otherlike, but the usual app user probably doesn't think about that in the beginning and what it means for his or her identity. Now it gets complicated.https://thebitcoinmanual.com/articles/nostr-key-management-tools/2/

Now with #nostr you are as simple user in the wallet game possibly also.As soon as you start using other (social media) apps or other services with your identity (private key) you should think about who you initially trusted when creating the key.So, here we are again in the platform game about identity. Even if there in the future for non-tech people easy to handle tools are available: will average users understand and take care?3/

What really worries me with the current state of #nostr clients. They animate you to enter your private key./4

@marix1 are you saying clients are storing your private key if you generate it inside the app but not if you just insert a pre existing key?
