At first I saw The Last of Us as another Walking Dead/World War Z clone, but episode 3 changes all that. One of the best television episodes ever. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

@leo I went in with the same assumptions, having not played the game. I was already pleasantly surprised with the first two episodes, but episode three was a goddamn masterpiece of storytelling.

@leo absolutely it really is superior story telling. As someone who has played and loved both games I was skeptical. But I have been very surprised and am also looking forward to the rest of the season.

@leo I have no gameplay skin in the show, but it’s turning out to meet CHERNOBYL levels of storytelling and character building. Episode 3 was a winner.For those who mentioned WORLD WAR Z — read the book. I loved the book as it was more like a scrapbook of news reels and clips of the zombie apocalypse. It was much different from the movie. And it had some crazy good storytelling about how certain countries (ahem — North Korea) handled the outbreak.

@stammy If you watch Last of Us I hope you can watch it on an OLED 4K HDR display. Some of the most beautiful cinematography since Kubrick. Every frame is a painting. I really noticed this when Joel visits the ham radio operator, but once I started looking it was everywhere.
