Any tips for making Mastodon easy to navigate?* Is there any function to mark posts as read to hide them?* Is there a way to jump to a specific date? E.g., having read today's posts - can I somehow hide them and/or jump to yesterday's posts?I have already started applying filters to remove all politics from my timeline, which so far works great for all posts with words in them. Unfortunately, some images still slip through.

@kandwo From the web interface- no and- noSearch is a bit hit or miss as well.Perhaps an app does something like what you want. Not quite what you want - Mast (for iOS and MacOS) somehow knows what you have seen already. It will fetch some unread items for you to read when you update the feed. But it doesn't go back in time without doing it the hard way (scrolling back again & again).

@mhjohnson Thanks!I'll start experimenting with lists and see if they can help make navigation easier. It's annoying that Mastodon, a service which ostensibly cares about our attention in opposition to Big Tech, still doesn't offer crucial features. It's also, as far as I can see, impossible to turn off infinite scroll.
