@TornadoOfTerror probably. my first critique was the poor animations and then i started hearing worse and worse, like inserting pronouns and gender-neutral bathroom shit. seems like a lot of poz unpleasantness.besides, i haven't played Dead Space before, so if i try it it'll be in the original format i got for $8 at a local used vidya store.

It looks nice when it lets you see but otherwise inferior to the original.______________________________________________________________Tk has almost full screen magnetism to center mass. This removes a good chunk of strategy.Edit: Actually I'll go one further. TK is borderline useless due to targeting issues on top of the above magnetism.AI doesn't pacify when off-screened anymore.AI frequently fails to stagger when shot.Melee is a bit better, until the issue above crops up as they attack. At least you don't swing like your in a nightmare anymore.Menus are unbearably laggy at times, dropped inputs are frequent. Shouldn't take me pressing escape 4 times to leave the bench. Speaking of, all this QoL they added and we are still expected to use arrow keys? Give me a break. No, mouse wheel is not a suitable alternative. I would rebind it, but apparently that doesn't even work.Someone on the team legit thought the Dead Space 2 leapers was a good idea and just gave every slasher the ability.Sections that were previously game play are now regulated to cut scenes. The morgue is a prime example. Also lol they axed the Enhanced slasher there.Brutes walk at you now and turn on a dime. Devs fail to see why anyone wouldn't use Stasis, God forbid. Cant even cut their legs off from the font anymore. Hell when you do it still crawls at you at the same speed and has no sound effect when it does eventually spit.Hunter has AI on par with the Pinky from the first Doom (Walk away from it and it will never hit you).Guardians got buffed in health, and I can't fathom the reasoning behind it.Issac's heartbeat needs a mute. Whoever thought constant noise pollution was a good idea needs to be removed.Power node doors are gone. Replaced by circuit breaker boxes that offer you the choice of how you want to be annoyed for given sections. Lights or Air isn't a real decision. Visibility is poor as is.Zero G combat sections are awful. There was a very good reason why in the sequel they only have you fight Nests or those two Lurkers in Chapter 6, but even then its in a hallway you are gonna land for anyway. Its because its disorientating and crap.Pacing overall is a bit shot. You go from Zero G combat into puzzle with the dish array to Zero G combat puzzle with the Slug in Chapter 8, not minutes later. Those turret sections were there to break up the pace, now with them gone it just drags along at the midway.Game likes to soft-lock frequently in current version.No Fov options of any kind.Slight negative mouse accel.1.2k variations of possible spooks when revisiting rooms, but its just more amusing you enter a room that is now foggy for some reason, leave it and come back and it turns to normal.This remake is more indicative of current trends, being games becoming a visual medium rather than a game play one. There's more going on under the hood than just shooting the manand looking pretty, and Motive missed the mark entirely

@LukeAlmighty @KonataWagner @ikezawa because all the new lighting effects and clean textures clash. the higher-fidelity something is, the harder it is to sell it. 360 graphics had lower lighting on top of lower-fidelity, which gives it more substance for the eyes as well as the imagination.
