I think, most contexts the word "based" is used in are inherently reactionary. It tends to fall into a pattern where there is an attempt to make people stop doing a one thing and start doing something else, that thing seems intuitive and desirable, and someone says "fuck you, we should do what we want, actually". And this statement that exists in antithesis to changing life is going to get called "based". I know only one person who calls/used to call novel and radical things "based", and everyone else is reserving this word for stuff that's a tiny step back towards the norm.

@comrade_lecter Do not joke about this. The LEOs, the Judges, the Sheriff has the authority do deputize and invoke the CSM. With a limited time, very specific mandate. Not for every election, only for certain elections, for certain locations.

@comrade_lecter I mean, "based" is inherently a subjectivist description of "something desirable". Since feelings as valid motive tend to be the realm of idealists and reactionaries, there are only two real contexts that "based" is gonna get used. Reactionary and Idealist. Pragmatists will use "based" rarely, and if they do, it will be about fact and research based things, and thus somewhat outside of the paradigm in general.
