Always thought 'This little piggie went to market' was intended to mean she picked up her little basket and went shopping. Now I'm sad.

@Rasp is that not what it means? I’m not sure I want the answer.

@Rasp This is still my headcanon even after learning the truth. Also the connotations of a pig eating roast beef are interesting.

@Paradox I mean pigs are omnivores and can/will eat almost anything humans can

@Paradox Why wouldn't a pig eat a roast beef sandwich?

@Rasp I know they would, but that specific product is interesting to me.It's a pig eating a cow, an animal that's raised in the near vicinity (I imagine).Honestly the ubiquity of barbecue restaurants using art of pigs eating various meats as advertisement is wild to me.Also the list of publicly known omnivores is very short. We tend to think of docile animals as being herbivorous so that only adds to it, I think.

@Paradox they are mostly herbavores and rarely aggressive but pigs are opportunity they rarely hunt for meat but will scavenge with no shame

@Rasp I don't know what you are talking about. That is clearly the one and only way that could be interpreted. Impossible to take it any other way.
