@diresock Sure, being Russian I know a thing or two about that 😅I agree. But calling it communism did look a bit like, you know, calling everything right wing nazi. I think the joke's still okay — living in a commune to get away from communists is kinda funny. @thor

@thor Monks often live in communes but I wouldn't call them communist. Communism and leftism more broadly seems to imply that everyone has to live in communes (or something of the sort) not just themselves.

@mian not really, socialism means broadly that:- the principle of democracy is extended to the economy/workplace, so workers collectively decide how it's ran - the primary goal of the economy is meeting everyone's needs as much as possible (so, free healthcare, education, etc), rather than just profitIt *doesn't* mean that everyone suddenly has to go live in hippie communes, or that communists want to collectivize your toothbrush or something :)
