#DOJInvestigations I updated my FAQs. Here are the last 3 entries.Remember: Grand jury proceedings are secret, but witnesses can talk sometimes reporters see people entering. 1/11: Within the last month, multiple associates of former President Donald Trump received new wide-ranging subpoenas from Special Counsel Jack Smith requesting additional documents and records.1/24: Trump DHS official Ken Cuccinelli testified before a federal grand jury.2/2: The Fitton GJ appearance

@Teri_Kanefield it's been over 2 years are you intentionally pretending like we all don't know no one is going to prosecute trump?Garland had done everything he can to let trump go free. The whole reason he brought Jack Smith in 2 years after tbe coup was to drag it out until election season so Garland has another excuse to do nothing. It's so frustrating to see people like you keep stringing well meaning people along by lying to them about justice coming for trump.

@Teri_Kanefield this is ridiculous. You can justify anything if you try long enough but there is no excuse for no charges against trump. We had the whole muller report, he fired the fbi director to interfere with an investigation and admitted in an interview.I'd have to be absolutely brain dead to think now, 2 years later right before a presidential election cycle, now the DOJ will act. Please stop repeating lies from Garland and your sources

@Teri_Kanefield ok let me open with this. The first thing you did was write about consequences and made a list of people who mostly haven't faced consequences.

Wow — can we get @Teri_Kanefield's quote written across the sky?"Here’s the thing about democracy: at any given time, if a clear majority of voters decide to end democracy by electing leaders who promise to smash democratic institutions, democracy will end."

@weedisgood @Teri_Kanefield Or maybe, Garland decided to let the DOJ prosecute people for entering the Capitol first, and see where the affidavits, electronic messages and testimony leads. While it was frustrating not knowing what Garland was doing, by May 2022, he had collected a lot of information on those who organized the coup attempt. By November, all the files went to Jack Smith. I expect indictments against Trump before Thanksgiving this year. Not losing my shit just yet.

@mistersterling @Teri_Kanefield don't be a stooge. The guy who lead the coup is running around free and mostly says it was good. The Democratic party prioritized not confronting trump. That's why Biden picked Garland. That's why Chris Coons shut down the impeachment for valentines day.trump tried to murder members of congress, he did it live on tv, he's about to run for president again and soon the DOJ rule against actions during campaigns kicks in

@weedisgood @Teri_Kanefield I can't stand Chris Coons, but had no idea he said this:https://www.thedailybeast.com/sen-chris-coons-hounded-dems-to-drop-witnesses-because-people-want-to-get-home-for-valentines-dayThing is, it wouldn't have changed the result. The Democrats knew that the only Republican senator who would vote to convict was Romney. So it was moot. You sound like a liberal version of a Q follower. Everything is a conspiracy. Garland was chosen precisely to let Trump go. Blah blah blah. I will only agree with you if there is no indictment by Thanksgiving 2023.

@mistersterling @weedisgood @Teri_Kanefield There is no conspiracy, just institutional timidity. The thing about the Valentines Day impeachment dodge is that yes it would not have changed the senate vote. But it would have informed the public and referring all consequences to the court of public opinion is one of the dodges that timid democrats constantly fall back on to justify their inaction.

@Teri_Kanefield @mistersterling They aren't really relevant to the issue of timidity, but, OK I skimmed them. It is misleading to say that flynn experienced consequences because he plead guilty and then leave it at that when he withdrew his plea; DOJ filed to drop the charges; and the president pardoned him before anything could be resolved. If those are advocacy pieces, then sure leave out the rest of the story, but not if they are meant to be comprehensive.
