When #Twitter limits it's API does that also blocks the 'Login with Twitter' functions on 3rd party sites? 🤔 This also goes via their API, in the past this was one of the main reasons I had a birb account in the first place.. Not for me but to make it more easy for people to login :blobcatgiggle: Another loss for them though

@stux i don’t know for sure… I think login will continue to work because it gives them a teensy bit more data to mine…

@stux Not necessarily, "Login with Twitter" works with OAuth and doesn't really use the other twitter APIs.But I wouldn't bet on them *not* shutting it down as well.

@stux As i understood, it becomes a paid service too. I read from one service that they are not going to pay and they advice their users to create an alternative logon before the T logon stops.

@SeanDFW @stux Yep! But I think it would also incentivize people to sign up since they can use it to login to other sites.One additional step to reduce countless others down the line.

@stux I'm willing to bet that the login with twitter functionality will break on a number of sites as they just haven't thought about it. I'm also willing to bet they won't care and some people will be left locked out of accounts they previously used twitter to access...
