@stux One could argue about which came first. (it's likely trump was just good at telling them what they already wanted to believe, not that the he tricked them into being less disconnected from reality)But yes basically the american conservatives live in their own fantasy world with a bunch of their authority figures saying trust only me.It's very difficult to get them to come back to the "reality based community".

@stux that's because it isn't really about belief but about interest. The vast majority of them know they are lying and promoting unreality, but this is all to protect "white" supremacy. The things they say are more of a signal than words. They're just saying, "I'm on team yt and there is no way you will convince me to be on team humanity. I'm supporting these tyrants because I don't want to have to give anything back or make room."
