       A queer "coming of age" cartoon, only it gets dark and dramatic mid story, and the young adolescent protagonist ends up dating an adult morally grey character and not a same age best friend.

       @comrade_lecter there's an online comic that hit some of these notes, but more like young adult with much older man, superhero/villain kind of thing. I've haven't checked to see if it updated in a long time.

       @Forgotten I do admit I don't watch any, and only gain my information through stuff I see on Tumblr, but from my understanding, they're not really dark or dramatic. At worst, someone dies in battle. There's no rape, gore, horrible diseases, irreversible apocalypse, etc.

       @Forgotten well, again, when I say "dark and dramatic", I don't mean "suffer for character growth" kind of thing. I mean "there are child soldiers and this is shown as good" kind of thing. Where everyone becomes the most cruel and fucked up version of themselves, there's no underlying lesson to learn, no redemption, no niceness.
