A few weeks ago @heidilifeldman wrote about the German Nazis coming to power:“Today’s American Nazis are gaining the same kind of power the German Nazis did in the 1930s.”And the #media parallels are also strong. The publisher of the Daily Mail in the 1930s was an explicit fascist, a member of a British fascist party. There is strong similarity to Murdoch and Wilks and Koch and Singer. @justinmwhitaker @shoq @protecttruth @heidilifeldmanWe do know what we need to do and acting like them, "rounding them up" isn't it.In cases where crimes were committed & sufficient evidence exists to convict, charges & prosecution is warranted.For most if not all of those in Congress this is not the case. They must be defeated at the ballot box. Repeatedly, year after year at every level of government. /1

@joeinwynnewood @shoq @protecttruth @heidilifeldman I've been pondering, and I think our "round them up" is different from their "round them up."They want to round up anyone that isn't white hetero, and doesn't think like they do, and kill them. They want genocide.We, however, want to round up those that break the law. Laws like those that punish sedition. That remove domestic terrorist threats. That abuse their power for fiscal gain. We want justice.They are not the same.

@justinmwhitaker @shoq @protecttruth @heidilifeldman I would certainly not argue otherwise. That said, what I hope is clear is that the methodology of "rounding up" is fundamentally fascist and no one should be empowered to do so regardless of the righteousness of the purpose.Our existing system is far from perfect, but the intentional bumps in the road between "everyone can see you're guilty" and a guilty verdict in court must be preserved.

And Nixon’s AG was indicted less than 18 mos after his crimes, which included obstruction of justice.We have seen a 50-yr program by the wealthy to dilute white collar crime enforcement. And establishment lawyers are complicit—including Garland and Mueller. They just blindly kowtow to calcified process rather than doing what is possible within the law to bring justice.I would take just going back to watergate levels of enforcement.
