Uh, I’ve been looking into Fastly also for mstdn but there prices are a bit vague.. An estimate for mstdn alone would costs 3600 euros per month.. that’s out of the question unfortunately

@stux idk how much traffic you have so I can't estimate cost but bunny.net is pretty good and reasonably priced from my experience

@stux Are you looking for a full CDN, or only a off-side hosting for media? I'm using Backblaze block-storage and that works like a charm for cheap.

@stux Would the free version of Cloudflare do a good enough job? That's what I run my DNS through and proxy the traffic, no issues I can see (though it's only a single person instance).

@stux bunny has a "volume tier" which is cheaper and has less pops, which would be like 200 bucks. Pretty expensive still, but I don't know how that compares to other CDNs

@stux luckily that's not the only option. Not sure if Project Shield would accept small mastodon servers, but you can always ask. Techradar gave a nice overview of DDoS protection tools a while ago.
