@basedarchlinuxuser They should switch to Soapbox/Rebased. I remember talking with @dj back in the day about Pleroma when they were being messed up, so he switched to Akkoma because it got new features and was still getting updates. Now, it seems like they're having problems with Akkoma, so I think they should switch to Rebased+Soapbox. Unfortunately you lose out on the bubble timeline and local-only posts, and there are lots of other instances with Soapbox/Rebased.

@logocopter @dj @basedarchlinuxuser @curiousthinker The ācopeā frontend supports quotes in 10 different ways. Akkoma FE only supports it their way. So you can use Soapbox+Akkoma but you canāt do Akkoma FE+Rebased. The reason is because Akkoma FE sucks.

@Humpleupagus @basedarchlinuxuser @logocopter @curiousthinker Itās all good now. Akkoma was crashing randomly, strangely in the evenings mostly. When I shitpost early it was fine. Logs showed erlang shutting down and restarting. So I switched the backend to rebased. There was some confusion about what local posts meant. Akkoma has a public timeline and a local posts timeline and thatās what I was referring to. I forgot also thereās someone who forked pleroma-fe to work with quote posts so no loss there. Iāll get to that later, Iām off the clock.
