@LordMordred With wine I know that like 50% of it isn’t vegan, so I check it against Barnivore and have a few known widely-available products that I buy.https://www.barnivore.com/Beer on the other hand is vegan 90% of the time. It’s bread soda. The odds are in your favor. So yeah it’s a little risky, but it typically is somewhat obvious if there are allergens in it. This particular beer didn’t set off my vegan senses until later.

And yogurt is naturally quite fine. Frankly, ever since I quit drinking, my stomach has been made of lead, in spite of my lactose intolerance.

I dont eat a lot of cheese, I'm not a fan of the taste. milk is the thing that really messes me up. but so many tasty family recipes require milk and lots of it. plus I didnt know I was lactose intolerant till last year. so I just thought after eating having horrible stomach pains was normal lol

The stomach discomfort of lactose intolerance is exacerbated by the expanding gases of difficult to digest milk products, causing gas and abdominal cramps. Going periods without eating allows your digestive tract to experience a modicum of emptiness that most in the West aren't familiar with anymore.

I fast on Friday because he was crucified on a Friday. I sometimes also fast on Mondays for my own benefit. I avoid eating all food when fasting and simply consume water. Tea would also be acceptable. Black coffee would also be fine. I will take small number of vitamin supplements on the days of my fast, however.A good Catholic should also should fast before taking the Eucharist. For most this simply means fasting from the moment of waking until mass, but a good Catholic may also observe a fast from the time of Saturday Vigil until mass on Sunday.

@CentaurBreeder I've been fasting in this manner for a few years now. And it took practice to be able to do it consistently. If you should have any hiccups, don't feel discouraged. Just try again next time.

It's fairly satiating, and assuming it's plain broth, it shouldn't be a meaningful amount of calories. Black coffee will also reduce your appetite, but it will leave you feeling a little anemic.Don't break your fast if you make it to sundown. You'll feel even better about it if you make it to morning.
