You might remember Klinefelter syndrome from high school biology, for one example. My understanding is that many different conditions can be considered intersex, though I'm no expert.It's good that we know better now but in the past people who were born with both genital sets were often just surgically assigned one sex. Ironically the "assigned at birth" rhetoric these days has little to do with that though.
