@foss_android Aurora store, since it lets you install apps from Play Store without a Google account. Total must-have.AntennaPod, since it's a great podcatcher.NewPipe is just amazing for watching YouTube-videos and subscribing and such without a Google account.Tusky, for being a very good Mastodon client.

@foss_android #DAVx5 is one of those applications that are so crucial but don't often get mentioned, a great way to sync calendars, contacts etc.#ViMusic is another, that is essentially #Spotify for free by accessing the Youtube music api which allows you to add playlists, albums, and artists, incredible!#cheogram a beautiful and functional XMPP/jmp.chat clientand lastly #KISS launcher, a super quick and minimalistic android app launcher:) All thanks to #fdroid :)

@foss_android Blender, hands down. It's what got me to where I am today and I would never had the money to get one of the proprietary editors when I was growing up.In the same vein:- Atom (RIP)- Inkscape, GIMP, Scribus- Kdenlive- Godotand probably some others that I'm forgetting right now.And obviously Linux itself, but that's not an app. 😊 Sorry if you were looking for Android specific things. 😅

@foss_android I switched to (mobile) Linux but my favorite Android apps were F-Droid (best source to find FOSS apps), Privacy Browser (it has a ton of extra features and up to date), Material Files (simple, looks cool and does what a mobile file manage has to do), NewPipe (best YouTube frontend, with subscriptions which can be organized to categories, and the UI is very comfortable to use)

@foss_androidFor me I guess it must be Metro music player:https://www.f-droid.org/de/packages/io.github.muntashirakon.Music/In fact I bought original Retro #music #player from Play Store before, until I found out it has been disbanded and made open source. In my eyes this is the most beautiful looking and still feature rich music player.Unfortunately Metro also seems to need a new hand on deck for future development. Right now it still works flawlessly on Android 13, though.
