@SrRochardBunson @antonioserrata Finally! That explains why I often see 1s and 0s floating about. Thought I was hallucinating😂On a side note, ChatGPT will undoubtedly induce more teachers to quit. Why bother teaching writing, composition, grammar, rhetoric, critical thinking, or research? Plagiarism was already a complex problem. @Dogzilla @SrRochardBunson @antonioserrata I’m discussing freshman composition courses, where I teach the fundamentals of rhetoric, research, & writing with concision & clarity. I’m teaching concepts, critical thinking, and reading comprehension, not facts. Thus, when assessing their work, I’m looking for how facts are presented (paraphrased, direct quotes, citations, analysis, coherent paragraphs, etc.), as I want them to be prepared for writing in their discipline. https://www.wired.com/story/chatgpt-college-university-plagiarism/
