       @stux I live in Canada and my snowshoes and (Nordic) skis are gathering dust this year. We basically had snow for one day and then it rained and melted. It's really weird.

       @stux Even better, if the climate crisis is not stopped by 2028, assets will be limited to 999,999,999.99€. Everything above that will be confiscated by the states.I guess then we will be climate neutral next year.

       @stux Nooo…not really. I think you’ll find what they really prefer is no poor people. That would probably do.Besides what is more extravagant than skiing in 100 degree weather in some giant air conditioned rooftop ski slope?

       @stux The rich? I do not consider myself rich, yet grew up with our elementary school teacher spontaneously deciding that we'd go skiing the next day. Which wasn't a problem, because there was a nice, gentle slope just half an hour train drive away.That slope hasn't seen enough snow to open up for skiing in the past 20 year. So if any class wanted to go skiing, they'd have to go much farther, which becomes expensive and logistically difficult.The lack of snow affects normal people too!
