       Really enjoying https://elk.zone/ as my main desktop Mastodon client at the moment - it feels like a spiritual successor to https://pinafore.social/It's a fast loading, well built SPA application (using Vue - Pinafore used Svelte) which works entirely using the Mastodon JSON API (via CORS requests)Code here: https://github.com/elk-zone/elkIt's fun watching what it's doing via browser DevTools - a really neat way to familiarize yourself with how the Mastodon API actually works

       @simon interesting. It looks so much like the birdsite design. I really like the stock mastodon interface that takes better advantage of having a screen that is wider than it is tall.

       @simon In case you didn't know, there's also a fork of Pinafore called Semaphore (https://semaphore.social/), with a particular emphasis on continuing Pinafore's strong accessibility.
