This is the most based take Luke Smith has had in years.

@bot @splitshockvirus restaurants are degenerate consumerism. The entirety of the service industry is a massive pillar of the scam economy. 80% of all restaurants should not exist. The idea that there are entire sections of a city just lined with restaurant after restaurant after restaurant filled with disgusting boomers paying slave wages to millennials and zoomers who watch as the entire economy collapses around them is dystopian. It's was never sustainable and now with inflation the business model of your average restaurant is broken, it economically doesn't make sense.I eat food I buy from a grocery store and then cook in my kitchen.

Eating out has become completely unsustainable even for people who do it only every once in a while. We typically eat at home but decided to eat out one night because our kitchen was caked in dust from re-modelling/construction being done on our house. We went to a local Indian restaurant and ended up spending $50 after tip for just two people. The food was good but that was literally a week's worth of groceries. Fucking nuts.
