       At the protests in Los Angeles tonight, there were multiple stringers with professional camera rigs acting aggressively, shoving people, getting in people's personal space, and trying to provoke fights. After the protests disbanded, at least three of these stringers were seen huddling with LAPD.

       @SocialistStan @Aphrodite @brilliantorange @chadloder Do you expect the outcome of a revolution to be a better condition?I'm asking this seriously, because I can see very few historical examples which justify such an expectation. As an obvious example, Lenin didn't dissolve the Cheka ― he made it MORE powerful and brutal, which nobody up to that time wouldn't have believed possible.Reform measures, on the other hand, have a tendency to lead to better conditions for more people.

       @publius @SocialistStan @brilliantorange @chadloder i never mentioned revolution.i merely stated that it requires identification of root causes.i’m just a hacker, but the concept of the kill chain helps in such identifications. whether mgmt listens to the analysis and actually fixes the problem or buys a shiny that’s supposed to fix things but doesn’t or rips out the system consequences be damned or ignores it..  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
