Gibt es in der Bubble jemanden, der eine #Pleroma-Instanz erfolgreich auf einem #Raspi laufen hat? Ich habe hier noch ein Modell B+ V1.2. Angeblich nicht geeignet, da ARMv6. Zutreffend? Nicht zutreffend?

@simon @hensys Well it currently runs on a Hetzner server. I know that Pleroma does run on a Pi however, but the database should be kept away from the microSD card, otherwise the card will die very quickly.I'm unsure how Pleroma is with ARMv6 support, but if it installs and runs it will probably work, however I suspect it would be a bit sluggish and you might need some swap next to the DB as well

@simon @hensys All the Pis I've ran Pleroma on were 3 and 4, so considerably beefier

@quad @hensys @simon Model B+ will likely not work or be quite crashy, 512MB is not really enough RAM for the whole system.

@hensys @simon I also know people have gotten Pleroma to run on a Steam Link (1x ARMv7 core @ 1.0 GHz, 512MB RAM) with surprisingly usable results. That's probably the closest thing to a Raspberry Pi 1 spec-wise that I've seen Pleroma work on.

@lanodan @hensys @simon Has Pleroma's RAM usage increased that much?My Pleroma VM used to have 256MB of RAM and didn't really crash at all. It was upgraded over time though as more users joined and the database grew.

@quad Thank you for the information!Basically, I'm looking for a step-by-step manual how to set up a #pleroma instance on a #RasPi. The hardware discussion (what Raspi is usable) is only a sidekick. 🤠 @simon

@hensys @simon Ah, as long as the device can run a Linux distro you can install from source using an official guide such as this one: https://docs.pleroma.social/backend/installation/debian_based_en/The reason you've heard the Pi is problematic is probably because there's no OTP release. You can always try a source install, but I dunno if you'll encounter any strange bugs due to ARMv6
