       @notjustbikes @BicycleDutch  I recently visited Amsterdam and was amazed and curious about all of the bikes in the city. How do they control the accumulation of abandoned bikes? I did random tire pressure "pinch" tests ans confirmed that many bikes had not been used in a week or more.

       @GregCirillo @notjustbikes @BicycleDutch it’s certainly a lot easier to remove abandoned bikes versus a banded vehicles. a lot cheaper to salvage and repair too!

       @fiveEyedBeast @notjustbikes @BicycleDutch  Of course. And it is much easier to abandon a bike than a car (economically). I was just wondering how they determined that a bike was abandoned.

       @GregCirillo @fiveEyedBeast @BicycleDutch I doubt you saw very many abandoned bikes, because they take them away often. Someone will come along and tag them, and if the tags aren't taken off, they're removed.Many people do ride very beat-up looking bikes, but they're not abandoned!
