       I was a kid when the Rodney King incident became national news. I was a teenager when NYPD officers sadistically brutalized Abner Louima and killed Amadou Diallo in cold blood. Watching our “law enforcement” situation spiral out of control for my entire life has been one thing; Watching our country’s leadership do absolutely nothing about it is quite another.

       @cpoliticditto seeing the other side of our country’y leadership not wanting to do anything is revolting. Democrats have wanted to pass legislation for more accountability of the police, but the Republicans have fought it tooth and nail.

       @fjwheeler @cpoliticditto the Democrats haven't wanted to do shit.  They've had plenty of opportunity to pass legislation, which they run on the platform of - but have done nothing.  They want to use the problems, and exploit those of us who have empathy, for the purpose of advancement of their own personal agenda.  Fuck the Democratic party.
