       @leo Really glad you softly pointed out the diversity of long-existing Mastodon apps on this week’s episode of MBW amidst @jsnell’s (understandable) enthusiastic steamroll of all the other developers for his friends at Tapbots. I think “best Mastodon app yet” is kiiiiiiiiiinda subjective…seems like everyone’s got some gives and takes at this experimental stage, and many others have been doing the work far longer for far less.

       @cary @leo Wait, you mean my opinion is subjective? 😂 (Also, making an MBW pick is not a steamroll. I picked an app.) (Also also, I'm not sure the people at Tapbots consider me a "friend" since I always preferred their competition...) Other than that, great feedback! 😉However, yes, I do think that after seeing dozens of hobby apps that are creaky and weird and amateurish, there is a reason so many people are excited about Ivory. I call 'em like I see 'em.

       @leo @jsnell I really hope the Apple digerati doesn’t start a “high-school cafeteria table” popularity milieu for Mastodon app development amidst the great migration; honestly, fostering client diversity would be a good lesson learned from some of the failings in the Twitter experience.
