       @thakman53 @jcmacomber My grandmother (98) recalls that, during the Second World War, when there was gasoline rationing and a 35 mph national speed limit, the little old ladies who still had their circa-1910 electric cars were driving around all the time, visiting each other, and generally mocking the younger folk with their gasbuggies.
