       Strange things are happening with my Twitter following.In the past, there was a pattern: The more I Tweeted, the more my following grew. If something went viral, my following jumped considerably.For the past week, all I have done is (1) link to my work on my blog  or elsewhere (2) explain why Mastodon is the best Twitter alternative. Yet my Twitter following keeps growing, each day about 30 new followers. Many are accounts opened this month, and all appear to be liberal. I'm suspicious.

       Another strange thing: People are finding and retweeting my old stuff, sometimes from as far back as 2018. The old material being circulated again generally threads that are just as relevant now (explainer threads).These new accounts opened this month tend to be following a few hundred people. Shile the lists aren't the same, they are following the usual large left-leaning blue checks.I'm also getting new followers with accounts opened before 2012; each with something strange about it.

       @GoodVibes7472 I just told you: I link to my work on my blog or elsewhere and explain why Mastodon is the best Twitter alternative.I have almost 200K followers there.You don't think it's a good idea to direct them here?Some are low involvement: They show up once in a while. I let them know where to find me.The question was a bit rude, actually. Lots of people are still there.
