       @lowqualityfacts If the shifts are eight hours then that would be 25 bucks an hour.There's security jobs in much less dangerous places that pay that, I'm sure of it. They're clowns for showing you that & applicants to it are chumps.

       @lowqualityfacts@dominic 1. I'm guessing the contractor is based in PA?2. That's *really* shitty pay for Afghanistan. Those are usually 12h x 6d positions, not to mention the hazard pay on top of that.

       @lowqualityfacts Hi. I've done a bit of private contracting, and so has my brother. I did 3 months in Iraq after I left the Marines, and 12 months onboard ships doing anti piracy. $200 a day is total garbage! I worked Christmas eve, Christmas day, Boxing day, New Year's Eve and New year's Day and earned enough to buy a house. It was around 180k for 5 days. It's such sketchy work.
