I'm becoming 30 within 2 ~weeks now but I hate it when random people on the street or in the store call me 'bro' or 'brah' :nkoFacepalm: My reply always is: "I am not your brother. It's sir for you." 9/10 times if someone starts with "bro" or "brah" they want something from you and it's sooo disrespectful

@stux my ex would call people "bruthah" all the time and it drove me nuts. He called me "babe" so much, I thought he'd forgotten my name.I hate "bro" so much. "Brah", so much more.Other things, not so much. I love when people call me love and such - but not sweetheart. I'm one person's sweetheart, and you ain't him. "Young lady" actually tickles me.I was in high school when "duuuuude" was a thing. I rarely direct it at a person, but use it as a soft expletive.

@stux I call everyone Man. It just happens. Since a teenager. Here in the US, I feel like being called sir is a thing to get over, not so much taken as a respect thing universally. Perhaps, this is due to the largely retail nature of Sir here.
