       @ruud Dear Ruud - I just discovered that mastodon.world blocks birds*.*c.uk servers because it is a “Bot That Links Twitter Accounts To Activitypub Without Permission Of The Twitter Account Owners”. A while ago, I learned about bird.makeup which seems to do the same, and I excitedly linked the Twitter account of my favourite Twitterer as I try to spend less time on Twitter.Now I am not sure if I broke a rule?? If I did, please forgive me and let me know what I need to do to fix it. 😕

       @denis Hi, that’s no problem. The problem was that it mirrored accounts to mastodon without approval of the account owner.

       @ruud Thank you. But I think Bird.makeup does the same - it shows a copy of the tweets from Twitter in my mastodon timeline.

       @ruud Yes, I think so - I needed to create a follower called gailsimone@bird.makeup and that started the process. It did not happen without my approval. But of course, I couldn’t ask Gail herself?

       @denis Oh now I see. It’s not your account your mirroring. So that would be the same yes. If she would report that , and others, we might block that instance too.

       @denis No need to unfollow. We might also decide to only block accounts that are reported instead of the whole instance. We’ll see. Asking for her approval would help. Maybe she will even consider moving to mastodon 😀

       @ruud Yay, thank you so much! I will see if I can convince her. During the early Twitterocalypse she moved to Hive and everyone followed her until it collapsed. So she may be a bit wary! 😄Thank you so much for getting back to me!
