@hyde - Ficciones, J.L. Borges (at least 5 times, I guess, in French or Spanish) - Cien aΓ±os de soledad (even more, perhaps 6) - Some crime novels, by M. Connelly, D. Leon, A. Camilleri, etc. (2 or 3 times if they are old enough, because you forget the plot, and you can reread them with the same pleasure; or because the atmosphere is more important than the plot anyway).

@hyde @nlowell HIs stories are special to me, they usually don't have many stakes, it's really calm well done competency porn and most of the stories are "nice people being nice together" which hits me really well :) I have yet to find any other books that does it as well, so well, maybe next year I'll go for a 4th time through :p

@hyde Yeah, Sentenced to Prism was one of my comfort books in high school during a rough period. I read it so often that I had it completely memorized and had to put it down somewhere around 1993 or so. I didn't pick it up again until ~2012 or so and realized I still had it memorized. So You Want... series was my Harry Potter and used to be an annual read for me well into my early 20s.
