       Are you sitting on a working VHS or Betamax video deck and looking for it to find a good home digitizing old tapes? Hit me up, here or at jscott@archive.org. I'm trying to assemble a half-dozen to be able to do 20+ tapes a day at peak.

       @textfiles@archive.org I have a stack of old hi-fi VHS decks I have been hoarding. I have old VHS that need audio digitized that mostly have no video signal. I need old ones because new ones fail to track because of the lack of video. At the point where I have my stack digitized, I'm willing to part with some.

       @textfiles I have six working VHS machines, unfortunately they are PAL and in Ireland. They occasionally get used to digitize old tapes.

       @textfiles It has a good home...  My home...  Literally bought it *just* before they became totally unavailable (like literally just after they stopped being made)...  And why?  Because I tried to use the previous one and it just did *not* work.  So, good timing actually.  Good luck...

       @textfiles @JustinDerrick Is that Blackmagic an internal card? Because I have one, and have never been able to get it to work under Linux, despite having bought a motherboard and processor specifically because they were recommended for the application. I've never completely been sure what I was doing wrong.
