I haven't kept up with seasonal anime in 10 years so I have a backlog ready to go. Plus I literally live in a culture where the entire entertainment industry product is trash by people who loathe me so I think I can survive not watching more things.

@TornadoOfTerror fuck that reminds me that you can see twitter artists and animators posting pieces of stuff they animated for major anime now. They’re literally outsourcing this stuff to anime fans and otaku now. That doesn’t make it seem feasible to continue

@TornadoOfTerror artists have always been abit sussy, I'd worry more if they started hiring calarts people, the moe-cgification of Japanese cartoons isn't great either. Perhaps a result of the talent pool being too small and spread too thin.

@TornadoOfTerror And its classic slippery slope. First they outsource to cheaper artists with no decline in quality. Than they outsource with slight decline. Than lower quality becomes the norm, because everyone is doing it. Until its barely watchable.
