       The more guns in a society, the more gun deaths. That's a fact. Not an opinion.We should definitely blame politicians who won’t do what the majority of Americans want and what would be societally most beneficial - better gun legislation and addressing, not exacerbating, societal differences.But perhaps some voters are somewhat to blame, too. Too many let them slide and don’t ask a representative or one running for office what their stance is. If it is pro-gun over people and no regulation, don’t support them and make your opposition known as widely as possible. There are groups fighting for regulation and for electing better people. Support them. Track your rep’s voting record on guns. There are things one can do short of looking at it every time and sending “thoughts and prayers.”

       @TonyStark the problem is that its a constitutional right and part of the bill of rights.  If government can legislate away one right they can Do that to them all.  They are designed to contain the threat of overbearing government.  Run away governments have killed far more of their own people than citizens with guns have.  So the only way to fix the gun problem with out rendering the bill of rights meaningless, is with a constitutional ammendment. And that one is there to protect the others.

       @TonyStark Per the Gun Violence Archives, that makes 33 mass shootings so far this year, resulting in 57 dead and 134 wounded. And it’s 22 days in.The bloodthirsty god of the 2nd amendment is well pleased Republicans and with the volume of human sacrifice so far this year.

       @TonyStark @Heimdall Which is why I’m so grateful to Mom’s Demand Action. Their group (and others like Gabby Giffords group) has substantially weakened the NRA. Our next attack must be to demand that Congress implement jurisdictional stripping of SCOTUS,  so that when we implement gun reforms, they won’t be able to undo it (like they just did in NY).
