I was just in the supermarket to get some things and there was an elderly man before me at the register and he had forgotten his wallet in his other sweater or something he said in panic..I saw the cashier get her phone our of her pocket and she paid for him :amaze: :blobcathearts: ❤️ So when it was my turn I said to her to add the previous amount to my checkout and let her keep the reciept so she could get the few bucks back from the store :blobcathug: The circle is completed ✅ 🤗

@stux Happened to me at a cash register when I was young and poorer. I had a monthly budget of cash for groceries and ran out by a few $$ that day. Another shopper paid the extra very gracefully and selflessly. Not exaggerating to say it changed my life. A seed that has been growing ever since.

@stux one of our local grocery stores gives its manager a card specifically for this purpose. I was short a couple of dollars once, and the store covered me.Small things add up to a better world. 💚

@stux My daughter just started working at Walgreens, and mentioned that there had already been a few times when a customer clearly made a miscalculation and was a heartbreaking few dollars short on something they clearly needed. I asked her if I could donate some money for her to just have on hand to help out in situations like that. She said she suspected it would be against the rules, but she would ask.

@stux I did this last week. There was a big storm coming in. A young couple was shopping & were $9 short. They were having to try to put things back. I asked the person in front of me to let by so I could go up & pay the difference.
